Volunteering

Learning and Volunteering
The best way to learn is by doing.  By volunteering on the farm, you will learn the practical skills of growing food.  You can experience many aspects of farming, from germinating seeds and natural soil amendments to organic pest management and harvesting. Since we are primarily a teaching farm and not a commercial farm, volunteers provide a service that keeps the farm up and running.  Plus volunteers can take home produce as part of our CSA  (community supported agriculture) program.

When
Primary volunteer day is Saturday but varies with season and current work load.  It is possible to volunteer other days as well by prior arrangement. If you would like to be put on the list to be informed of volunteer days, please let us know.

What to Bring
Bring a brown bag lunch, snacks and plenty of water.  Long pants and long-sleeved over-shirt, hat, and sunscreen are recommended.  For overcast days, mosquito repellent is recommended.

CONTACT US for questions, directions, or to be put on the volunteer day notification list.
